*sigh*

Once again it's been too long since I posted.

For the most part life has gone on and been on hold at the same time.

Domino has cancer. Most likely. We do know she has a tumor and there is no way we're operating on a 17 year old cat. Besides, it's wrapped around her gall bladder ducts and liver so they probably couldn't get it all anyway. So she is on Predisone twice a day which she LOVES getting, NOT!

On the 17th I was told to expect at most two more months with her. Damn it. I just lost one in June! Domino is my knitting buddy. She loves to sit right next to me and occasionally put her paw out to say "Mommy, can you pet me?" It's going to be hard to lose her. Then again, it's hard to lose ANY of them.

I've been knittng various things, though my last pair of socks are going to have to be ripped out and totally redone. Leg too tight and foot too loose. At least I know what I did and I think I can fix it. One person suggested I give them away and start over. Anyone want them?

I am very sorry to hear of your upcoming loss. I lost my best buddy, my 17 year old cat Sasha, 2 years ago. She had been diabetic for 7 years. It was terrible to loose her, but still, I wouldn't have traded those years for anything. I lost my horse this spring to cancer and I am just begining to get past it. It is so hard, because we love them so much and they love us so completely. But please remember that it is worth the pain to know the joy for so many years. Having a cat for 17 years means you took great care of them and they lived a long life. It helped me to know that animals do not fear death like we do, they don't think about it at all. They just go to sleep (which we know cats love to do) and then they feel peace forever.
Good luck and give Domino a scratch under the chin from me.
Julie
